You might be thinking, doesn’t THC mean marijuana? Is that even legal?
The answer is… it’s complicated. Without giving you a full-blown biology lecture, here’s what you need to know. Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, is a chemical compound found in the Cannabis sativa plant species, which includes both hemp and marijuana plants. The chief distinction between hemp and marijuana is determined by how much THC is found in the plant. More specifically, hemp plants contain less than 0.3% THC. Products that are hemp-derived are completely legal, so long as the amount of THC also falls under 0.3% of the total product weight. All Discreet products contain less than 0.3% THC, which means they’re federally compliant with the 2018 Farm Bill.
To further understand this, let’s do a case study with one of our products. Our Everyday Chill tablets weigh one gram each. They contain 2.5 milligrams of THC. If we do some quick math, we find that 2.5 out of 1000 milligrams are THC, which comes in at .25%. Isn’t science fun?
